A BIT ABOUT AMARYLLIS

I am based in London, but my work is influenced by her Greek roots and background in anthropology. The food I love to make (and taste) is seemingly simple, yet always focused on layers of flavour, ingredients and the story behind them. Likewise, my photography is all about celebrating natural light, from the brilliant, overwhelming brightness of sunny Greece, to the irresistible moody London mornings. Styling food is such a pleasure and I always draw inspiration by ingredients first and foremost, but also by the mundane yet also profound tasks of setting a table or prepping a meal. At the core of it all is love for honouring memories, re-discovering traditions and sharing the joy of cooking and eating together.

Tasting and making food, gatherings and sharing dishes and stories was probably what lead me here: love for seasonal, local ingredients and time spent in the kitchen and around a table. Paying homage to my roots and discovering those of others, tasting and testing, usually improvising, chasing memories and familiar flavours or making friends with new exciting ones.
